The recipes near the end of this article are focused on cooked (smoked) brisket or leftovers. Never be worried about making too much brisket because it tends to disappear.
1. Old-fashioned Beef Brisket.
This recipe will make you fall in love with this classical dish again. Once you eat it, you can remember the old winter nights or the nostalgic holiday nights with your family. Classic beef brisket consists of tender beef brisket with rich gravy, besides melting potatoes and carrots.
The first secret ingredient in this classic meal is rich gravy. This recipe needs a lot of liquid. Thus, you can add broth or red wine. The second secret is ketchup and tomato paste to add sweetness. In this recipe, we use a pellet smoker. However, a slow cooker will work well, but you will miss the yummy smoky flavors.
It serves 6 to 8 people.

- 3 pounds of beef brisket. (flat)

- 3 tablespoons of olive oil.
- 3 large onions, sliced
- 6 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper.
- 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika.
- 1 teaspoon of thyme.
- 1 teaspoon of oregano.
- 2 cups of beef broth(red wine or cooking sherry).
- 1/2 cup of ketchup.
- 1/2 cup of light brown sugar.
- 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
- 1 pound of red potatoes chopped into 1-inch pieces.
How to make it?
- Preheat your pellet smoker to 250 F.
- Rub the brisket with 1 teaspoon of salt and.
- Set it in a roasting pan in your smoker.
- Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
- Put the slice of onions and in the pan and fry them until brown and soft for 8 minutes
- Add the minced garlic and cook until tender for 2 minutes.
- Put smoked paprika, black pepper, thyme, oregano, and salt (1 teaspoon) to the tender onions and garlic.
- Cover the brisket with the onions and garlic, spread as evenly as possible.
- Put the beef broth(or wine) in the pan over medium-high heat and then add ketchup, brown sugar, and tomato paste.

How to make brisket with a caramelized onion?
- Preheat your pellet smoker to 350 F
- Rub the brisket with seasoning (salt and pepper)
- Put the oil in a large skillet and heat it over medium heat.
- Put the brisket in the skillet and sear it until entirely brown. It takes 20 to 25 minutes.
- Add onion and garlic to a roasting pan and put it in the pellet smoker, reduce the heat
- Stir every 5 minutes until soft and caramelized, roughly 25 to 30 minutes.

- 2 pounds of ground beef.
- 2 cups of potatoes cooked, cooled, and shredded.

- 2 cups of chopped brisket (cooked).
- 1 onion, diced.
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 2 teaspoons of minced garlic.
- 2 tablespoon of olive oil.
- 1 teaspoon of salt.
- 1/2 teaspoons olive oil.
- 5 to 6 large eggs.
How to make sliced brisket with eggs?
- Put olive oil in a large pan and heat it.
- Add the onion in the pan over medium heat for 3 minutes until it is soft.
- Put diced red pepper and minced garlic.
- Add diced potatoes and cook them for 15 minutes.
- Cut the brisket into large pieces, just under ½ inch thick by 1 inch long.
- Add the pieces to the pan with potatoes, peppers, and garlic.
- Add salt and black pepper. Then, cook until brisket and potatoes start to crisp.
- Add eggs and mix, turn to cook the eggs on all sides.
